Vera Palea

Vera Palea, Ph.D. in Finance and Accounting, is a Full Professor in Corporate Finance and Reporting at the University of Torino's Department of Economics and Statistics. With a research focus on IFRS adoption in the European Union, Vera has published extensively in leading journals and has received several accolades for their work. Currently, they serve as an Independent Board Member and Chair of the Sustainability Committee at Ersel Banking Group and are actively involved in multiple academic and advisory roles, including the Expert Working Group at EFRAG and the intergovernmental working group at UNCTAD. Vera is also contributing to projects addressing corporate sustainability and climate-related disclosures while engaging with various organizations on financial risk related to climate change.
