Daniel Cotterill is a Climate Scientist at the Met Office since September 2019, with a background in applied meteorology and physics. Previously, Daniel served as a Technician System Test and Junior Test Automation Developer at Paxton Access Ltd, where significant contributions included exploratory testing and automation development. An internship at the Royal Astronomical Society as an Undergraduate Student Researcher led to findings on star formation rates and instrument performance relevant to the James Webb Space Telescope. Daniel holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Bristol (2021-2025), an MSc in Applied Meteorology with Distinction from the University of Reading (2018-2019), and an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Sussex (2011-2015).
