Robert D.

Robert D. is a Senior Scientist at the Met Office, serving since October 2010, where responsibilities include leading the development of the HadISD dataset, which provides quality-controlled sub-daily surface observations for non-commercial research. Previously, Robert D. held the position of Scientist at Technische Universität München from October 2008 to September 2010 as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, focusing on the behavior of galactic black holes and their accretion discs. Prior to that, from October 2006 to September 2008, Robert D. worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southampton, investigating the interactions of black holes and galaxy clusters while also analyzing smaller black holes. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Astrophysics and a Master of Science (M.Sci) in Natural Sciences, both from the University of Cambridge.
