Tom Batchelor is an experienced Operational Meteorologist currently working at the Met Office since September 2019, specializing in aviation forecasts and providing expert advice for the Army Air Corps at AAC Middle Wallop. Previous experience includes a five-month role at RAF Mount Pleasant, where Tom was responsible for aviation forecasting and producing public weather forecasts during winter months. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Applied Meteorology and Climatology and a BSc in Geography, both from the University of Birmingham, as well as an Extended Project Qualification in Geography and A levels in Economics and Geography from Queen's College Taunton. Early work experience includes positions as a Catering Assistant with the National Trust and Hestercombe Gardens.
