Will Lang has extensive experience in meteorology, currently serving as Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office since April 2007, with previous roles including Head of Risk & Resilience Services, Head of Situational Awareness, Head of Civil Contingencies Services, Chief Forecaster, Chief Hydrometeorologist, and Deputy Chief Forecaster. Lang's career at the Met Office began in 1998 as a Forecaster. An academic background includes a Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, a Doctor of Philosophy in Astrophysics from the University of Bristol, and a visiting research student designation at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
