Abbas Sbaity

Abbas Sbaity is a highly experienced logic design engineer with a strong background in hardware development and system architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Logic Design Engineer at Meta since May 2024, Abbas previously held a similar role at Apple from June 2020 to May 2024, where significant contributions included the design of a novel radix-16 integer divider and several advanced RISC-V components. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Logic Design Engineer at Samsung Electronics America, focusing on interconnect technology for flagship smartphones, and as a Senior Logic Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, specializing in high-speed interconnect technology for High Performance Computing. Abbas began a career in FPGA design at Collins Aerospace, developing data movement and access control solutions for commercial aircraft systems, and started with an internship at Athena GTX focused on medical communication hardware design. Abbas holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Iowa.
