Aditya Akella is currently the Director of The LDOS Project: An NSF Expedition in Computing, starting July 2024, and serves as a Professor and Regents Chair in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin since August 2021. Previously, Aditya was an H.I. Romnes Fellow and Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2006 to August 2021, focusing on systems for fast, large scale machine learning, network verification, and big data analytics, among other areas. Aditya's industry experience includes roles as a Researcher at Meta since May 2024 and a Visiting Scientist at Google from May 2019 to May 2021. Additional academic positions include a Postdoc at Stanford University, a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Washington, and a Consultant at Instart Logic, Inc. Aditya earned a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005.
