Akil Hamilton

Akil Hamilton is an experienced software engineer and researcher with a diverse background in machine learning and software development. Hamilton has held several internships at prominent companies including Instagram, YouTube, Google, and Slack, where responsibilities ranged from developing machine learning models to enhancing fraud analytics. Hamilton co-founded CheckUp Health, a mental health platform for post-secondary students, and has contributed to research projects at McMaster University and the University of Oxford, focusing on deep learning applications in drug discovery and medicine. Currently, Hamilton serves as a software engineer at Meta and a machine learning researcher at Imperial College London.
