Alan Kleiman

Alan Kleiman, PhD, has a robust background in materials science and chemical engineering, with significant experience in the renewable energy sector. Alan began as a summer intern at DuPont in 2007, where work focused on anti-reflective coatings. Subsequently, as a Research Scientist at Solopower from 2011 to 2013, Alan developed electrochemical deposition processes that enhanced solar cell efficiency. Roles at TetraSun, Inc. and a battery company involved optimizing deposition techniques and scaling processes, significantly contributing to cost savings and performance improvements. Alan's tenure at Apple as a Process Engineer spanned from 2017 to 2021, followed by a position as Process Architect at Meta. Alan holds a PhD and MS in Material Science and Chemical Engineering, respectively, from UC Santa Barbara, and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
