Alan Shen has extensive experience in engineering and artificial intelligence, with a career spanning from 2003 to the present. At IBM, Alan served as a Research Scientist, where advanced research in artificial intelligence and machine learning was a focus, leading innovative projects and collaborating on solutions in cognitive computing. From 2012 to 2019, Alan held roles at Netflix, initially as a Senior Software Engineer, developing the recommendation engine, and subsequently as an Engineering Manager, overseeing experimentation and data infrastructure to enhance content delivery. Since 2019, Alan has been the Director of Generative AI at Meta, spearheading the development of cutting-edge generative AI models for social and metaverse applications. Alan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University.
