Alex Ellis has a diverse background in research and engineering, with significant experience in machine learning. Alex began career at Johnson Research Labs in a senior research and data scientist role, followed by a position as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Oregon. Subsequent roles included principal machine learning engineer and director of engineering at Intellimize. Alex transitioned to Quora as a software engineer and later as an engineering manager in the machine learning department. Currently, Alex serves as an engineering manager at Meta within the Reality Labs division.
