Alex Warofka is an experienced professional with a strong background in human rights analysis and econometric research. As a Fulbright Research Fellow at Kwansei Gakuin University, Alex studied human rights abuses related to Chinese technical trainees in Japan. At Case Western Reserve University, Alex contributed as a Research Assistant in econometric analysis of the US automotive supply chain and the impact of the global recession on Ohio manufacturing, while also serving as a Teaching Assistant in economics. Currently, as Human Rights Manager and Emerging Risks Lead at Meta, Alex leads initiatives to identify and mitigate human rights risks associated with emerging technologies and conflict environments. Previous roles include Research Associate positions at The University of Chicago and UCLA, focusing on data manipulation and analysis related to economic indicators. Alex holds a BA with Honors in Economics, Finance, Japanese, and Chinese, and advanced degrees in Public Policy and International Development from the University of Chicago.
