Alexander Vorontsov

Alexander (Sasha) Vorontsov has extensive experience in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML), holding key roles in prominent companies such as Meta, Google, ScienceSoft, and Invention Machine. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Meta, Vorontsov focuses on Personalized Ads Retrieval and Multi-Stage Ranking ML solutions. During a decade at Google, Vorontsov held the position of Tech Lead Manager for ML and NLP, overseeing a large team and spearheading significant projects in Display Ads Engineering. Earlier roles included Project Manager/Team Lead at Invention Machine, where Vorontsov managed the development of a multilingual Semantic Engine, and Researcher at ScienceSoft, contributing to NLP pipeline components. Vorontsov is an inventor on multiple patents related to semantic processing and holds advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Ph.D. in Natural Language Processing from Minsk State Linguistic University and completion of the LEAD program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
