Amit Agarwal is an experienced software engineer specializing in machine learning and distributed systems. Currently employed at Meta as a Software Engineer in ML Inference since June 2023, Amit is building a cross-hardware ML Inference Stack for production workloads. Previously, Amit served as a Principal Engineer at Modular, leading the development of a distributed AI cloud platform, and at Microsoft from 2009 to 2022, where Amit held multiple roles, including Principal Engineer/Manager for the Azure AI Platform and as a founding member of Microsoft’s large-scale distributed AI training GPU platform.
