Amitai Stern has a diverse background in software engineering and education, with experience spanning several notable organizations. Amitai began as a CS maths tutor at Aluma Foundation, supporting at-risk first-year students in 2016. Subsequently, at Personetics, Amitai worked as a software engineer from May 2015 to August 2018. Amitai then joined Logz.io as a software developer and backend tech lead from November 2020 to January 2022, where responsibilities included leading complex features, managing guild meetings, and actively engaging in the OpenSearch community. Amitai is currently serving on the OpenSearch Leadership Committee and contributing to the project. In February 2025, Amitai transitioned to a software engineer role at Meta. Amitai holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
