Amy Burkhart

Amy Burkhart, P.E. is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector. Since July 2021, Amy has served as the Lead Electrical Subject Matter Expert at Meta, following a role as Unit Supervisor at NextEra Energy Services from April 2019 to June 2021. Prior to that, Amy held supervisory and technical positions, including Unit Supervisor at Omaha Public Power District and Shift Technical Advisor, overseeing operations for a nuclear power plant. Amy's career began in the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate 2nd Class (Nuclear), responsible for operations and maintenance of the USS Carl Vinson's nuclear propulsion plant. Amy also gained early engineering experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Nebraska Public Power District, assisting with tasks at nuclear and coal-fired power plants. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, awarded from 2004 to 2008.
