Director of Engineering Architect of Audio

Andrew Lovitt is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in audio algorithms and artificial intelligence. Andrew began with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University, graduating summa cum laude, followed by a Master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Early career roles included a graduate research assistant position at the University of Illinois, where Andrew focused on human speech recognition, and a Ph.D. researcher position at Idiap Research Institute in Switzerland. Andrew's tenure at Microsoft spanned multiple roles, culminating as an Audio Algorithms Architect and Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, where advancements in noise suppression and echo cancellation were achieved for Xbox One. Additionally, Andrew served as an Audio Software Engineering Manager at Meta, working on innovative audio technologies. As of May 2025, Andrew holds the position of Director of Engineering, Architect of Audio at Meta, where continued contributions to audio innovation are being made.
