Andrey Bogdan

Andrey Bogdan is a seasoned expert in analytics, data science, and software engineering with extensive experience in the energy and tech sectors. As Head of Analytics and Data Science at BJ Services, Andrey developed a machine learning-powered web solution that significantly contributed to client retention during the 2020 crisis. Previous roles include Senior Research Scientist at Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics SB RAS, where Andrey pioneered machine learning methods in Quantum Chromodynamics, and Tech and Team Lead at Schlumberger, leading innovative machine learning solutions for downhole monitoring. Currently, Andrey serves as a Staff Software Engineer at Meta, specializing in back-end solutions for the Feed and architecture for Oculus Horizon OS. Andrey holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics of Elementary Particles and multiple degrees in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, all from Novosibirsk State University.
