Anh Vo

Anh (Alec) Vo is an experienced software engineer with a background in mechanical engineering. Vo began a freelance photography career in 2017 before transitioning to Chegg Inc. in 2019, where significant achievements included leading the re-architecture of the Writing app, resulting in a 400% speed increase and substantial reduction in app bundle size. Vo played a crucial role in architecting Chegg’s transition towards AI, working collaboratively with senior leadership and multiple engineering teams. Other contributions included standardizing GraphQL errors and advising on secure schema changes. Since July 2024, Vo has been employed at Meta. Prior experience includes a role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Philips from April 2015 to April 2017. Vo holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, obtained in 2014.
