Arpit Mittal

Arpit Mittal is a highly experienced professional in the field of machine learning and computer vision, currently serving as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Director at Meta since July 2020. Prior to this role, Arpit worked at Amazon from August 2016 to December 2017 as a Scientist and Project Lead focusing on next-generation AI solutions. Arpit's career includes significant contributions at Microsoft and Qualcomm Research, where notable achievements include the successful commercialization of the Vuforia SDK for Digital Eyewear. Educationally, Arpit holds a PhD in Human Layout Estimation from the University of Oxford, completed in 2012, as well as a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, earned in 2007.
