Arun Rao

Arun Rao serves as the Lead Product Manager for Generative AI at Meta since March 2021, leading the development of sophisticated Llama models and overseeing the expansion of the evaluation systems for large language models. In addition, Arun holds the position of Adjunct Professor at UCLA, where advanced product management is taught to MBA students. Previously, Arun contributed to Amazon as a Senior Product Manager in machine learning and personalization, and co-founded the machine learning search startup starbutter. Arun's experience spans roles in finance, including a Vice President position at PIMCO and a Business Development Manager role at Hall Capital Partners LLC, along with early experience in financial journalism. Educational credentials include degrees from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, UCLA Anderson School of Management, and the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.
