Atul Goyal

Atul Goyal is a technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. At Meta, from January 2018 to June 2022, Atul served as Engineering Director and Principal Engineer, leading teams on Monetization Infrastructure Foundations with a focus on systems, machine learning reliability, capacity, efficiency, and hardware strategy. Prior to Meta, Atul worked at Microsoft from July 2009 to January 2018 as a Software Engineer, contributing to Microsoft Dynamics CRM through development of forms, visualization, dashboard, and reporting modules, as well as large-scale email synchronization systems. Earlier career experiences include summer internships at Oracle and IIIT Hyderabad, where Atul gained insights into speaker identification and neural network models. Atul holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), completed in January 2009.
