Baijun Xie

Baijun Xie is a Research Engineer at Meta since April 2024, focusing on algorithm and software design for augmented reality input prototype devices, employing advanced signal processing and machine learning techniques. Prior to this, Baijun Xie served as a Doctoral Researcher at The George Washington University, contributing to machine learning applications in human-robot interaction and developing a state-of-the-art multimodal framework for emotion recognition. Baijun Xie also held the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant, mentoring students in MATLAB and C Programming. Previous experience includes research on robotics and control theory as a Graduate Research Student and an internship at Shenzhen JBT Smart Lighting Co., Ltd., where circuit design principles were mastered. Baijun Xie earned a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University, along with a BS in Photoelectric Information Engineering from Shenzhen University.
