Benny Tang

Benny Tang is currently employed as a Research Engineer in Wearables AI at Meta's Reality Labs since June 2025, focusing on data science, post-training, and alignment for AI in wearables, while bridging human-computer interaction and multimodal machine learning. Previously, Benny served as the first Research Engineer at Scaled Cognition, contributing to the development of controllable AI models, and held research positions at MIT Media Lab and MIT CSAIL, working on soundscapes and visualization. Benny has also worked at Akamai Technologies in various roles, including Senior Applied Research Data Scientist, and has a diverse educational background from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Babson College, with multiple master's degrees and certifications in engineering and management.
