Berkay Kanberoglu

Berkay Kanberoglu is an AI Research Engineer at Meta since July 2025, following a role as an Applied Scientist in Computer Vision at Amazon from December 2021 to July 2025. During tenure at Amazon, Berkay focused on face detection, semantic search with vision-language models, and natural language processing among other computer vision tasks. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Research Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where optimization of frame rate conversion algorithms for TVs was a key responsibility, and a Research Assistant at Arizona State University, developing diverse computer vision algorithms. Berkay also has experience as an Instructor and Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University, where management of a large lab course was undertaken. Earlier professional experience was gained at Intel Corporation as a SoC Performance Analysis Engineer. Berkay holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Leadership from Arizona State University.
