Berthold Hahn has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in chip research and development. Notably, Hahn served at Osram Opto Semiconductors from April 2001 to July 2006 in various leadership roles, including Project Manager and Director of Chip R&D. Later positions included Senior Director of Chip Product Development and Chip R&D for OSRAM from January to November 2019. From December 2019 to August 2023, Hahn held significant leadership roles at Meta as Research Scientist Manager for LED technology and Director of uLED, along with serving as Head of Office Reality Labs in Cork. Earlier experience includes working as an Epitaxy Development Engineer at Siemens from May 1998 to April 2001. Berthold Hahn holds a Diplom in Physics from Universität Regensburg and a PhD in Physics, summa cum laude, from the same institution, supplemented by studies at Trinity College Dublin.
