Research Scientist

Buğra Tekin is a seasoned researcher in the fields of computer vision and artificial intelligence, with a notable career spanning multiple prestigious organizations. Buğra began as an Engineering Intern at TUBITAK and Aselsan, focusing on signal processing and image stitching algorithms. Significant experience was gained at Microsoft as a Senior Scientist in the Mixed Reality & AI Lab, after a stint as a Research Intern where a deep learning architecture was developed for object pose estimation, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy. Buğra contributed as a Visiting Researcher at ETH Zürich and interned at EPFL, where methodologies for panoramic image registration were designed. Currently, Buğra serves as a Research Scientist and Tech Lead for Hand-Object Interactions at Meta's Reality Labs. Buğra earned an advanced degree from EPFL.
