Carl (Yuheng) REN is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in virtual and augmented reality technologies. Carl served as a Senior Research Scientist at Fyusion, Inc. from March 2015 to February 2017, leading research and development in real-time VR/AR content generation for mobile devices. Since February 2017, Carl has held the position of Senior Director, Research Engineering at Meta. Prior to these roles, Carl completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford from 2014 to 2015 and participated in an internship in the Web Search and Mining group at Microsoft from October 2009 to May 2010. Carl holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Robotics and Computer Vision from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology.
