Carmen W. has extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering, having worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Washington State University, focusing on a fluorescence spectroscopy project and prototype design for point-of-care devices. At Fresh Consulting, Carmen contributed to eye tracking hardware research, while serving as a Project Engineer - Controls at ATS Automation, Inc. and currently as a Mechanical Engineer at Meta Reality Labs. Previous experience includes a Manufacturing Engineer role at Genie – a Terex brand, where responsibilities entailed developing new product designs, tooling, and manufacturing processes. Carmen also has a strong background in motorsports, having designed components for the UW Formula SAE team, leading the team in the design and testing of an electric racecar. Additionally, Carmen has demonstrated leadership as a student advisor, promoting team initiatives and overseeing project progress.
