Carson Lu

Carson (Tianqi) Lu is a seasoned professional in machine learning and data science, with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Meta, Carson focuses on MRS Relevance Ranking. Previously, Carson held the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at PayPal, specializing in customer experience through NLP and machine learning solutions, and contributed as a Graduate Data Science Intern, working on chatbot intent prediction using Python, BERT, and XLNet. Carson's earlier experience includes a Statistician Intern role at E. & J. Gallo Winery, where sensory data prediction was performed utilizing the Random Forest algorithm. Carson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School.
