Cat Hughes

Cat Hughes is a legal professional with a strong focus on privacy and data protection. Currently serving as a Legal Secondee in Data Protection at Meta since June 2024, Cat's career includes significant roles such as Privacy and Data Protection Associate at Bird & Bird and previous secondments at BT and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where Cat provided privacy counsel and developed internal processes in response to changing privacy laws. Cat began a legal career at Latham & Watkins, gaining diverse experience across various legal disciplines, and possesses a solid educational foundation with a first-class law degree from Lancaster University and an LPC with distinction from BPP University.
