Catherine (Cayla) Fromm is an experienced researcher and educator with a strong foundation in imaging science and physics. From August 2016 to December 2022, Catherine held multiple roles at the Rochester Institute of Technology, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant, where a visual rehabilitation program in virtual reality (VR) was developed in collaboration with the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute. Prior to this, Catherine contributed to research at Wellesley College in June 2014 and served as an intern at Meta's Reality Labs from August 2021 to January 2022, focusing on optical design and eye tracking research. Additional experience includes a summer internship at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in 2015, working on ptychography, and a laboratory assistant position in the Physics Department. Catherine holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Imaging Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Music from Wellesley College.
