Charlio Xu

Charlio Xu is a Machine Learning Engineer currently at Meta since June 2024, following a tenure at TruEra from May 2023 to June 2024. Previously, Charlio led the Machine Learning Engineering team at TikTok from December 2020 to April 2023, where significant contributions included creating and launching the advertiser risk control product line for TikTok Advertiser Integrity. This role involved fostering collaboration among machine learning engineers, software engineers, and data scientists while aligning efforts with key stakeholders. Prior to TikTok, Charlio served as the Data Science Lead at Blume Global from October 2018 to May 2020, focusing on demand and supply forecasting models and establishing machine learning infrastructure on Google Cloud. Charlio holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Zhejiang University.
