Chen Lin

Chen Lin is a highly skilled researcher currently serving as a Research Scientist in Machine Learning at Meta since September 2025. Chen has a strong background in biostatistics with a PhD from Yale School of Public Health, complemented by a BS in Mathematics from Fudan University. Previous experience includes a Graduate Researcher role at Yale University, focusing on linear mixed-effect models and Bayesian methods in genetics, as well as working as a Research Assistant at the University of Sydney, developing frameworks for multi-collinearity diagnostics. Chen also interned at Lyft, where contributions involved core pricing models and Bayesian analysis, and completed a summer internship at Texas A&M University, developing a variable selection method for survival analysis. Academic experience includes teaching as a Teaching Fellow for Machine Learning with Biomedical Data in Fall 2022.
