Chris Schanck is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles across the technology sector. Chris began a career in software engineering at TSI TelSys from 1997 to 1999, where development of a CCSDS service processing engine in Java was a significant contribution. Following this, Chris worked at Lavalogic, where involvement in the Forge High Level Language Compiler project took place from June 1999 to July 2000, which later became part of Xilinx after its acquisition. At Xilinx, from July 2000 to May 2005, Chris served as one of the senior engineers on the Forge project, enhancing hardware deployments through Verilog. Chris then transitioned to HIGHFLEET as the Director of Software Engineering, overseeing software product development from September 2005 to June 2012. From there, Chris joined Terracotta, serving as Principal Software Engineer from June 2012 to September 2020, contributing to high-profile software products. Currently, Chris is employed at Meta as a Software Engineer since September 2020. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, completed between 1988 and 1990.
