Christopher Emmons

Christopher Emmons is an experienced professional in computer architecture and hardware/software co-design, currently serving as the Infrastructure ASIC Architecture and Modeling expert at Meta since February 2024. Previously, Christopher held the position of Senior Director of Architecture at Mythic from July 2022 to February 2024, where responsibilities included defining next-generation ML inference hardware architecture. Christopher's prior experience at Arm spanned over a decade, with various roles including Senior Director Research Programs, where leadership was provided to global research teams in areas such as machine learning and hardware solutions. Earlier roles at Intel Corp involved performance validation and microarchitecture design, while initial research work was conducted at Sun Microsystems and Arm in the development of benchmarking frameworks and compiler backends for computer architecture. Christopher holds a BS in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a PhD in Computer Architecture from The University of Manchester.
