Colin Ovens is a software engineer with a strong foundation in AI infrastructure and machine learning. Currently employed at Meta since September 2022, Colin focuses on the scheduling system for ML training workloads. Prior experience includes software engineering internships at Amazon, where Colin worked on search relevance improvements and developed a RESTful service for machine learning model tracking. Colin has also contributed to iOS development education as an instructor and conducted research on space imaging projects. Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Music from Stanford University, along with early college credits in computer science, mathematics, and physics from North Seattle College.
