Cong Zheng

Cong Zheng has extensive experience in security research and software engineering, particularly in mobile and IoT security. Starting as an Android Security Intern at AVG, Cong built foundational skills in Android malware analysis. Subsequent roles included positions at Samsung Electronics America and Amazon Web Services, focusing on mobile security and threat intelligence, respectively. As a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, significant contributions were made to projects related to Android systems. At Palo Alto Networks, Cong developed a detection engine for Android malware as part of the WildFire team and advanced to a Principal Security Researcher, leading efforts in threat mitigation for IoT/Linux platforms. Currently, as a Security Software Engineer at Meta, responsibilities include ensuring security for AR/VR devices and vulnerability discovery. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Security and Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Peking University, and Georgia Institute of Technology, achieving notable academic performance.
