Damian Bourke

Damian Bourke has extensive experience in technical accounting, focusing on IFRS standards across various international regions. As Head of IFRS Technical Accounting at Meta from December 2019 to September 2022 and currently serving as Director of International Technical Accounting since September 2022, Damian has been instrumental in preparing whitepapers, advising on accounting analysis, and developing international accounting policies. Prior to Meta, Damian held the position of IFRS Technical Accounting Manager at Google, where responsibilities included leading projects like the early implementation of IFRS 15 and conducting IFRS 9 analyses. Damian's career began at PwC as an Assistant Manager, specializing in investment funds and working with diverse clients across multiple sectors. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting, both awarded First Class Honours from Waterford Institute of Technology, and the FAE from Chartered Accountants Ireland, where Damian placed 5th in the country.
