Damon An has extensive experience in reliability engineering and manufacturing management, with a notable tenure at Apple as a Senior Reliability Team Lead from July 2018 to July 2022, focusing on OLED display and touch sensor technology. Prior to this, Damon served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Lumileds from May 2013 to July 2018, overseeing high-volume MOCVD epitaxy for GaN-based LEDs and leading reliability improvement projects. Currently, as Sr. Manager of TechOps Display & Optics at Meta since October 2022, Damon is responsible for the development and mass production of display modules for Augmented Reality glasses. Earlier experience includes work at AmberWave Systems, where Damon contributed to epitaxy development and technology transfer efforts. Damon holds a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northeastern University, obtained between 2005 and 2007.
