Dan Hu

Dan Hu is an experienced professional in optical engineering and technical program management, with a strong educational background including a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Applied Physics from Tsinghua University. Dan began a career as a Senior Engineer at Ciena, focusing on EDFA/RAMAN amplifier design and optical transport network product development, before advancing to the role of Senior Optical Engineer at NP Photonics and later at Spectra-Physics. Dan further honed project management skills as an Integrated Product Team Lead at Lockheed Martin, managing laser and laser-based programs from June 2007 to September 2019. Since September 2019, Dan has served as a Technical Program Manager at Meta, collaborating with engineers and scientists to innovate next-generation technologies and devices.
