Dan Toffey is an experienced professional in community building, marketing insights, and research. From September 2016 to March 2023, Dan served as the Head of Community Lab at Instagram, where responsibilities included researching cultural impacts of the platform through data modeling and machine learning, and providing strategic insights for product development and campaigns. As Instagram’s 10th hire, Dan also led an advocacy program that engaged over 35,000 creators and reached a monthly audience of more than 250 million.
