Daniel Hong is an experienced software engineer specializing in content and data platforms, with a strong background in behavioral targeting and advertising technologies. Since joining Meta in March 2025, Daniel has contributed to Instagram Ads, following a tenure at Amazon from September 2019 to February 2025, where significant work was done on Prime Video and performance advertising. Previous roles include data engineering at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, leading NASA-funded climate analysis projects, and computer engineering at Duro UAS, focusing on real-time data acquisition. Daniel has also held software engineering positions at AQR Capital Management and Credit Suisse, along with research assistance in the field of robotics. Daniel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and participated in Yale's Summer Session in Electrical and Environmental Engineering.
