Daniel Wan

Daniel Wan is a skilled software engineer with a diverse background in project leadership, software development, and research. Experience includes serving as Project Lead at UM::Autonomy, where path planner designs were improved for smoother navigation. Contributions to the simulation and controls team involved building ROS plugins for simulation models and enhancing exit controls during an internship at Optiver. Additional internships at Centauri and Meta focused on bug detection in custom hardware and providing insights into internal network behaviors, respectively. Academic experience includes significant roles at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where Daniel accelerated medical image reconstruction and developed machine learning models, alongside instructional roles that enhanced student learning.
