Associate General Counsel - Competition Regulatory

Daniel Wylde is an experienced legal professional specializing in competition law and regulatory matters. Daniel served as a Policy & International Adviser at the Competition and Markets Authority from February 2018 to October 2018, focusing on preparations for the UK's exit from the EU and collaborating with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy on post-Brexit competition legislation. Currently, Daniel is the Associate General Counsel for Competition & Regulatory at Meta, having previously held the position of Senior Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from June 2021 to November 2025, where advisory work included various EU, UK, and multi-jurisdictional competition law issues. Daniel began a legal career as a trainee solicitor at Freshfields, contributing significantly to the firm's Antitrust, Competition and Trade department. Daniel holds a first-class Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Durham and an LPC with distinction from BPP Law School.
