Darryl Gardner is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in storage performance and benchmarking. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Meta since March 2014, Darryl specializes in storage benchmarking and performance engineering. Prior to that, Darryl worked at IBM from July 1999 to March 2014, holding several senior engineering roles that involved providing storage expertise for Software Defined Storage, optimizing storage for Analytics, Big Data, and Cloud workloads, and conducting performance evaluations for various IBM System x Storage products. Darryl holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
