David Caplan

David Caplan has a diverse professional background, with significant experience in both the creative and legal sectors. Caplan began as an Art Director at Workbook from December 1999 to January 2003. Subsequently, Caplan served as Producer and Managing Director at The Gnomon Workshop in August 2010. In the legal field, Caplan worked as a Summer Associate at Alston & Bird LLP and GORDON KEMPER LLP in 2011 and 2012. Caplan continued at Alston & Bird from November 2020 to June 2022 as a Senior Associate focusing on Financial Services & Products, as well as holding positions as Associate Attorney in Technology & Privacy and IP Litigation. Currently, Caplan is the Lead Commercial Counsel for Payments at Meta since July 2022. Academically, Caplan holds a BFA in Painting and Film from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, and previously studied Anthropology and Art at the University of California, Berkeley.
