David Murphy

David Murphy has extensive experience in engineering and operations, primarily within the military and technology sectors. Serving as Chief Building Engineer at Facebook from June 2017 to July 2019, David managed critical infrastructure. Previously, in the US Navy from April 2004 to December 2005, David held multiple roles including NAVY Master Training Specialist and Program Manager, where responsibilities included curriculum management and training administration. David also served as a Submarine Nuclear Operator - Electrician, overseeing electrical maintenance on nuclear-powered submarines, and as a Technical Instructor, educating hundreds of technicians in complex electronic and electrical fundamentals. Other notable roles included Course Curriculum Model Manager and Nuclear Submarine Electrician and Instructor Detailer, where David managed human resources for a large community of technicians. Additionally, a brief tenure as Critical Operations Manager and Critical Facility Manager at Meta in April 2022 further highlights David's capability in critical facility management. David holds a degree from Hawaii Pacific University, earned between 2003 and 2017.
