David Pickham

David Pickham is a seasoned Clinical Research Scientist and Manager at Meta, focusing on health, wearables, and reality labs since October 2021. Prior to this role, David co-founded and served as Clinical & Strategy Lead at two medical device companies, developing innovative cardiac modeling systems and technology for battlefield triage. David has a strong background in clinical research and leadership, having held the position of Executive Director at Stanford Health Care, where oversight of clinical research and innovation was maintained. Additional experience includes project direction at UCSF on ECG monitoring following heart transplantation and interim directorship of emergency services at Regional Medical Center of San Jose. David also has a foundational background in nursing, holding roles in emergency care across various healthcare settings. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Toronto, a Ph.D. from UCSF, and advanced nursing degrees from the University of Newcastle.
