Deepesh Data has a robust academic and professional background in computer science, specializing in machine learning and privacy. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the International Institute of Information Technology and both a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Professional experience encompasses roles as a Graduate Research Fellow at IDC Herzliya, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles, where contributions included research on federated machine learning and differential privacy, resulting in several publications in esteemed machine learning and cryptography/security conferences. Currently, Deepesh serves as a Research Scientist at Meta, focusing on privacy-preserving machine learning in Ads Ranking.
